Cover Picture PSS RRL (04/03/2025) – In article number 2400298, Lina Jaya Diguna, Muhammad Danang Birowosuto, and their team present CsCu₂I₃ scintillators synthesized using nanocrystals embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane matrix. These scintillators exhibit outstanding performance, boasting a rapid decay time of 3.55 ns, an impressive energy resolution of 13%, and a light yield of 2 ph keV⁻¹. This innovative fabrication method enables the production of bulk-volume scintillators, making them highly suitable for X-ray and γ-ray photon-counting imaging applications. Notably, their scintillation properties rival those of BZA₂PbBr₄, which achieves photon-counting computed tomography at a rate of approximately 20 mega counts per second per pixel. Learn More Here!
