Complex oxides with a single-phase crystal structure with five or more distinct metal cations present in the same quantity are known as high-entropy oxides (HEOs). The configurational entropy value, which is extraordinarily high in the case of a multicomponent (typically up to 5 components) mixture, which makes up for the reduced stability of the individual components, has a direct impact on the possibility of stabilizing all these binary compounds into a single rock salt phase. The application of HEO leads to electrochemical energy storage. This study focused on the possibilities of ZnO, SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, CuO, and other oxide materials.
